Do you have them?  Do you have the clients that always call on you when making their next move or keep referring their friends and family to you?  If not, you need to nurture these past clients to grow your business.  After all, in the competitive real estate field there are only so many new clients to go around.

In the book, Start Your Own Business, by the staff of Entrepreneur Media, Inc., they state “The secret to repeat business is following up in a way that has a positive effect on the customer.”  Effective follow-up is essential to keeping your business thriving.

Now that you realize how important it is to stay in touch, get creative.  We are all taught the same things to do; newsletters, remembering special occasions, etc.  These things are great, don’t get me wrong, but nurture that human bond that you established.  Out of the blue, maybe call and invite them to lunch or write them a personal note to keep in touch.

I’m sure you can come up with many more ways to develop lasting relationships with past clients.  And we are ready to get your ideas scheduled and implemented and keep your business thriving.

No, I’m not talking batteries here…lol!  Each person, me included, has the ability to be positive or negative.  We can go about the day with the “poor me’s” or we can be grateful for “the glass half full”.  I, probably like most of you, try to be positive every day but it doesn’t always work.  But here are some tips to help.

  1. Be gracious and express gratitude. Being thankful for what you have, or what you don’t, immediately releases the negative thoughts. Wake up thinking about all the things you are grateful for.  Make it detailed and from the heart.  Then go out into the world and be gracious to those around you.
  2. Give of yourself to others. Be unconditional in your giving.  Share your skills with those around you with either your help or advice.  Don’t doubt your value.  Even the smallest gesture can turn someone’s day around and boost yours.
  3. Visualize Success. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, tap into your ability to visualize or imagine being more positive.  Take a few minutes to clear your mind and “see” a positive event in your life and how it unfolded.  Then keep that mindset to stay in a positive state.
  4. Control Your Breathing or Meditate. This is an old way of doing things that I actually learned in Lamaze classes when I was pregnant with my daughter some 30+ years ago and I still find myself going to it today.  Plus when you control your breathing while in a quiet relaxed state it works even better.

Obviously, there are other ways that may work better for you and I’d love to hear about them.  And don’t forget to call Office Solutions 4 U when you’re in that relaxed state to help you stay connected to that positive mind frame.  We help take the negative out of your work life.

I get asked occasionally what can a VA do for me that I can’t do myself.  Here are some of the more frequently entrusted benefits and tasks.

  • Technology changes faster than many real estate agents can keep up with plus it can be a struggle to keep up with all of it and/or get it accomplished. We are tech-driven professionals and know our way around a computer and the latest apps, etc.

  • We can assist you with streamlining your business by taking tasks that you don’t like or do not do well and completing them for you.

Keep Calm & Hire a Virtual Assistant

First, be clear about exactly what you need before approaching a virtual administrator.  Find someone who is experienced in your particular area and understands your wants and desires as well as goals and can pick up and start running without too much backstory.  Also make sure it’s someone whom you feel comfortable with and can talk to.  If they’re not a good fit you’ll be miserable.  Next, don’t be afraid to ask for references because a good administrator will be happy to provide them without question.  Their reputation is on the line as much as your own.  Make sure any agreement signed covers confidentiality.  You don’t want your proprietary info going to someone else.

All these things are covered when working with OS4U.  Get ready to soar with the eagles and call us now.  A well-run business is a prosperous business.
