Do you have them?  Do you have the clients that always call on you when making their next move or keep referring their friends and family to you?  If not, you need to nurture these past clients to grow your business.  After all, in the competitive real estate field there are only so many new clients to go around.

In the book, Start Your Own Business, by the staff of Entrepreneur Media, Inc., they state “The secret to repeat business is following up in a way that has a positive effect on the customer.”  Effective follow-up is essential to keeping your business thriving.

Now that you realize how important it is to stay in touch, get creative.  We are all taught the same things to do; newsletters, remembering special occasions, etc.  These things are great, don’t get me wrong, but nurture that human bond that you established.  Out of the blue, maybe call and invite them to lunch or write them a personal note to keep in touch.

I’m sure you can come up with many more ways to develop lasting relationships with past clients.  And we are ready to get your ideas scheduled and implemented and keep your business thriving.

No, I’m not talking batteries here…lol!  Each person, me included, has the ability to be positive or negative.  We can go about the day with the “poor me’s” or we can be grateful for “the glass half full”.  I, probably like most of you, try to be positive every day but it doesn’t always work.  But here are some tips to help.

  1. Be gracious and express gratitude. Being thankful for what you have, or what you don’t, immediately releases the negative thoughts. Wake up thinking about all the things you are grateful for.  Make it detailed and from the heart.  Then go out into the world and be gracious to those around you.
  2. Give of yourself to others. Be unconditional in your giving.  Share your skills with those around you with either your help or advice.  Don’t doubt your value.  Even the smallest gesture can turn someone’s day around and boost yours.
  3. Visualize Success. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, tap into your ability to visualize or imagine being more positive.  Take a few minutes to clear your mind and “see” a positive event in your life and how it unfolded.  Then keep that mindset to stay in a positive state.
  4. Control Your Breathing or Meditate. This is an old way of doing things that I actually learned in Lamaze classes when I was pregnant with my daughter some 30+ years ago and I still find myself going to it today.  Plus when you control your breathing while in a quiet relaxed state it works even better.

Obviously, there are other ways that may work better for you and I’d love to hear about them.  And don’t forget to call Office Solutions 4 U when you’re in that relaxed state to help you stay connected to that positive mind frame.  We help take the negative out of your work life.

I get asked occasionally what can a VA do for me that I can’t do myself.  Here are some of the more frequently entrusted benefits and tasks.

  • Technology changes faster than many real estate agents can keep up with plus it can be a struggle to keep up with all of it and/or get it accomplished. We are tech-driven professionals and know our way around a computer and the latest apps, etc.
  • We work remotely from our own fully equipped office. No need to buy/rent equipment and space that you really don’t need.
  • We can assist you with streamlining your business by taking tasks that you don’t like or do not do well and completing them for you.
  • No need to get involved with the IRS. We are a business of independent contractors.
  • Manage and optimize your Listing Coordination/Marketing
  • Manage and assist with Closing Transaction
  • Keep your documents organized and uploaded to a paperless system
  • Design, manage and maintain your offline marketing pieces
  • Create and maintain your client databases.

Keep Calm & Hire a Virtual Assistant

First, be clear about exactly what you need before approaching a virtual administrator.  Find someone who is experienced in your particular area and understands your wants and desires as well as goals and can pick up and start running without too much backstory.  Also make sure it’s someone whom you feel comfortable with and can talk to.  If they’re not a good fit you’ll be miserable.  Next, don’t be afraid to ask for references because a good administrator will be happy to provide them without question.  Their reputation is on the line as much as your own.  Make sure any agreement signed covers confidentiality.  You don’t want your proprietary info going to someone else.

All these things are covered when working with OS4U.  Get ready to soar with the eagles and call us now.  A well-run business is a prosperous business.

I want you to think of all the little bits and pieces you’ve been working on today, this week or this year that annoy you and you never quite get them completed.  It’s a mountain and it’s constant.  Have you ever taken the time to think about what it would be like not to have to do those things?  Isn’t it a good feeling?  If you’ve sensed a feeling of euphoria just thinking about it, imagine how it would feel if you didn’t have to do it.

Entrepreneurs and solopreneurs, such as real estate agents, have a major tipping point between running your business single handedly and adding a second set of hands to get the job done in order to allow your business to thrive.  This is where OS4U can help.  We have a team of virtual administrators that can bridge the gap and here are a 3 ways how.

  1. Flexibility. We have the ability to handle a lot or a little depending on what you need.  We are open to your varying workloads based on your needs.
  2. No Overhead. No additional costs for office space not to mention the hassle of taxes, vacation pay and the list goes on.  We are a business of independent contractors who take care of our own expenses.
  3. An Outside Perspective. Figuring out a way to run your business like a well-oiled machine is sometime daunting and exasperating.  Especially if you’re not working effectively.  Sometimes all you need is a fresh set of eyes to get you back on track.  We have a lot of experience in real estate, as well as running a business, and sometimes the slightest change can make the biggest difference.

2015 is still mostly ahead of you.  Let us add significant value to your business and get you out of the gap!

What?  I can’t buy time!  Oh, but you can.  Here’s how.

Time is one of our most valuable assets yet we seem to waste hours of it each day.  Sound familiar?  As business men and women I’m sure you have felt the same way and especially if you have an active family life as well.  Now you can have both and I’ll explain how.

First, you have to be a really good organizer.  Well, duh, that’s a given, right?  But are there things that you just wish you just didn’t have to do?  Maybe you know you have to clean house but you hate it (that’s me!).  If it’s possible you hire a house cleaner to come in every so often.  The same goes for yard work and so on and so forth.  But did you know that you can do this with your business as well?  You know you need help but you think hiring an assistant is out of the question.  “I don’t make enough money now” you say.  But did you know you can go virtual?  All that technology you’ve been hearing about…it’s time to make it work for you.

When enlisting the aid of a virtual administrator, you automatically free up about 3-6 hours in your day.  This is the time that’s usually spent in front of a computer either in your office or home office.  Out of an average work day that’s roughly half a day spent doing non-productive, monotonous work.  Don’t like the sound of that do you?  If you had hired Office Solutions 4 U a while back, you would not only be making more money but have more free time to work with more clients and enjoy your family more.  And did I mention more money as well?  Sounds like a win-win to me.  Our business is to handle your business expertly and with an experienced, qualified team so you can focus on your business.

Since time is an asset we can’t afford to waste, call us.  It’s all about planning your time and business wisely to become more effective so that you can enjoy your life.

Here’s a great article from a Keller Williams Realty agent in Virginia about using Virtual Admins.  The signs are pretty obvious if you’re paying attention.  If you answered yes to any, or all, of the signs, call me.  I’ll be glad to get you on the right track to even bigger success.

Too much work is a good thing, right?  As realtors, as your business grows and you become more and more successful the growing pains start.  You get busier and busier and what then?  If you hire someone to work with you, where do you put them?  Pay for space and all of the equipment in your agencies office?  If you work out of a home office there’s not room plus it may be awkward to have someone continuously coming in your home.

Now is the time to think about a virtual admin.  Because we handle most of your needs virtually people often don’t realize we are not right in the room with you.  Once you find out how much more productive you can be, we are no longer thought of as virtual.  We’re teammates supporting you in the success of your business.

Question: What would make choosing us to become a valuable teammate in your business possible for you?  Leave your comment below.

Trust is a word often used in everyday business to convey a message.  In the dictionary the word trust means “belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc.”

In our world, as a business, it can often mean success or failure.  Therefore, trust would mean we are capable to do a job and do it correctly, that we have the knowledge and experience required plus the ability to complete it.  That we have consistency, that we are able to and will complete the follow through each and every time to deliver.  And we need to have context, showing that we are dependable, we have longevity, and have, above all, integrity.

Our team here at OS4U believes that trust and success go hand in hand.  We continually strive to back up our context with consistency and capability thereby providing our clients with a trustworthy partnership.  Let us instill the nature of trust in you.
